The Workhouse is seeking a highly experienced Senior Social Media Editor with a strong background in film, television, and branded marketing. The ideal candidate possesses a knack for creating compelling narratives, uncovering dynamic visual stories from extensive rushes, and has a keen interest in culture and storytelling. We are looking for an individual who can elevate current cultures and trends throughout marketing campaigns, whilst bringing a fresh and personal flare to the role.

Reporting to the Social Producer and Post-Production Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be a skilled social marketer and creative thinker with a great sense of pace and rhythm, and a keen eye for interesting visuals. Whether it’s creating fast-paced promo videos or experimenting with raw footage and traditional narratives, we need someone who takes pride in their work, makes smart music and graphic choices and delivers edits that genuinely excite.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the producer and the team producing engaging, high-quality videos and occasionally photo or illustration content for our clients and the target audience.
Edit a master video into various formats for each social media platform, considering their unique features.
Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, particularly in the film and pop culture industries, to keep our content relevant and fresh.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

· Editorial and social (paid and organic) background with minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Lead Editor (or like), preferably with a big entertainment company or creative agency.

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud – Premiere and working within Premiere’s Production workflow.

· Knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects, as well as effective communication with graphic or motion artists.

· Deep understanding of various social communities (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, etc.) and the content ecosystem's role in today's culture.

· Strong analytical skills and detail orientated.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

· Ability to understand the client brief, address feedback in a constructive and timely manner, whilst always preserving the quality and creativity of the edit.
