tackle breaking news and also produce in-depth stories. You'll offer readers insight into health equity, mental and behavioral health, homelessness, substance abuse, social issues, rural health care and medical trends.

The health care reporter should be comfortable taking photos and video and have an aptitude for alternative forms of digital storytelling. The reporter might also be called on to author a subscriber email newsletter and be a representative at Daily Herald events.
