Business Reporter

Sourcing Journal is seeking a business reporter to cover topics ranging from the raw materials industry to governmental regulation. Experience in a B2B trade publication is strongly preferred. The candidate must be an enthusiastic and organized writer/reporter that can field, pitch, and produce multiple stories on a daily basis. Must be a team player with strong news judgment for a B2B audience, who values the importance of presenting the facts and can identify industry-wide themes for long-form features. This role is based out of PMC’s New York City office.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a writer at a digital/print magazine or digital news outlet.
A fast and accurate writer who can cover news on deadline as well as balance longer-lead features.
Full grasp of online publishing from story creation to sourcing art and publication.
Proficiency in WordPress or CMS, including gallery creation when appropriate.
Ability to create and manage evergreen content.
Background in reporting and writing for a B2B audience a plus

Typical wage range: $60,000-$70,000
