The South Bend Tribune in northern Indiana, part of the USA Today network, is looking for an enterprising and digitally focused visual journalist who will help lead our presentation and help us grow our readership. The visual journalist will work with reporters and editors to plan the very best photos and videos, attract new audiences through Instagram and other social media and find opportunities to tell stories through photographs. This staff photographer will also help train interns, maintain a list of photo stringers and work with the newsroom staff to identify visual opportunities. The ideal candidate will use metrics to develop and evolve photo plans and will have a proven track record of collaboration. The visual journalist must obviously be an outstanding photographer in their own right, and because University of Notre Dame sports drives a lot of readership, sports photography skills are crucial.
