The Southern California News Group is seeking talented and aggressive journalists to join our Southern California newsrooms. SCNG covers large parts of LA, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, from local government to crime and public safety, housing and jobs to entertainment. Ideal candidates are tenacious and able to write gracefully and quickly in response to breaking news for online and mobile platforms, writing through for print. Our titles include the Orange County Register, The Press-Enterprise, Los Angeles Daily News, Long Beach Press-Telegram, Daily Breeze, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star-News, Whittier Daily News, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, The Sun and the Redlands Daily Facts. We’re looking for journalists who are flexible under deadline pressure, can cultivate sources in person and via social media, and are comfortable mining public records. While we aim to cover spot news as it breaks, we also prioritize enterprise and investigative journalism. Reporters may work nights and weekends as needed.
