From pitching stories to delivering engaging newscasts, your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of reporting and anchoring. Required Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Experience: Television news anchoring - 3+ years, Television news reporting - 5+ years
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field; or comparable television work experience
Technical Skills: Video editing, still photography, social media marketing
Skills: Reporting and anchoring
Abilities: Managing multiple priorities effectively, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule: Work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies and able to work weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a 24-hour news channel
Working Conditions
Works inside in a climate-controlled environment but may be assigned to field duties and be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditions.
