The Sullivan Daily Times, a 2,800 circulation, M-F morning daily in SW Indiana, is looking for a sports editor. Duties include covering three county high schools, reporting and photographing games, writing sports-related features, and designing 5-10 sports pages weekly.

The job requires a quick, accurate and efficient writer needing little editing or supervision to meet nightly deadlines. Candidates should have a four-year journalism degree or equivalent work experience.

The Sullivan Daily Times is a family-owned newspaper in Sullivan, population 2,800, the county seat of Sullivan County, population 21,000. Sullivan is 95 miles SW of Indianapolis, 23 miles south of Terre
Haute, 30 miles north of Vincennes and 55 miles west of Bloomington on the state's western border. The sports editor's pays $26K to $30K per year, depending on education, experience and talent. The Times offers one paid week of vacation after a year on the job and two weeks after five years.
