Washington Newsmedia LLC, a media group in eastern North Carolina that publishes a twice-weekly newspaper, bi-monthly magazine and several niche publications, is looking for a reporter to join its award winning staff. Primary coverage responsibility will be sports, with an additional focus on general assignment news reporting as needed.

The company's flagship publication is the Washington Daily News, a Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper that publishes Wednesday and Saturday in print, daily online. Sitting on the banks of the Pamlico River, Washington is known as a charming waterfront community with a vibrant arts scene, rich history and world-class outdoor and recreational opportunities.

Qualified candidates will have one to three years of general-assignment reporting experience, digital fluency, a curious nature and the desire to tell stories in new and creative ways.
