The Yahoo Homepage team is seeking an Editorial Manager to curate the best shoppable content for our users, focusing primarily on the experiences on the Yahoo Homepage. You should have a deep understanding of industry trends and be able to clearly articulate what makes great commerce content. You are passionate about helping people make informed decisions about the products they buy. You know how to craft creative and engaging headlines that build trust. In this role you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to curate experiences that build brand loyalty and retention around commerce, while helping to drive revenue and develop new experiences over time. You should be excited about not just what we are curating but how we are curating. The ideal candidate has experience working in e-commerce with a strong media brand, and preferably has some experience and comfort programming more traditional journalistic content.
Responsibilities:
Select and program commerce content across Yahoo.com and associated apps via content curation and headline and copywriting, expanding into social and newsletter curation as needed
Create and execute special coverage plans for all major commerce tentpoles
Closely track metrics and analytics of content to stay abreast of evolving user interests both with respect to content engagement and conversion rates
Collaborate with key content partners critical to growing our library and strengthening our programming
QA of content, for quality, style, presentation
Support additional journalistic content efforts across other editorial categories on an ad hoc basis, including Entertainment and Lifestyle especially but also News, Sports and Finance as needed and as time allows
