Summary
We are seeking a senior content writer to create, edit, and deliver compelling executive bylines, content, and messaging to align with integrated marketing initiatives to support brand-to-demand goals.
Reporting into the Sr. Director of Content, the ideal candidate is an experienced creative writer and storyteller who can translate thought leadership, business concepts, and data into entertaining and compelling B2B content across a variety of media. These include bylines, articles, blog posts, research reports, case studies, web copy, infographics, emails, presentations, video scripts, ads, and other content as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with executives, key marketing, and business stakeholders to create executive bylines and articles. Interview & seek input from stakeholders, speak with customers, and research industry trends to inform your work.
Hands-on ideation and writing for blog posts, research reports, case studies, web copy, infographics, emails, presentations, social, video scripts, and other content as needed.
Contribute to concept development, writing and coordination of content development in alignment with marketing strategies.
Leverage storytelling skills, passion, and energy to advocate for the customer internally and externally, ensuring they are at the focus of each project.
Assist in managing your workload and projects, including reviews and approvals, to execute pieces on brand and on deadline.
Contribute to and maintain content calendar and database.
Periodically perform content audits and external competitive analysis.
Maintain a keen sense of our customer segment pain points and event industry trends.
Lookout for innovative ways to elevate the Freeman brand.
Collaborate on company and executive award submissions.
Work on special projects as needed.
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone).
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
5-7 years of experience in a creative, writing-focused role including content, corporate communications, social media, or related field
A diverse writing portfolio that includes a mix of long- and short-form written and visual content for a variety of channels
Strong ability to translate products, services, customer insights and trends into impactful and entertaining B2B marketing narratives
Knowledge of the content marketing landscape and emerging trends
Analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Ability to source and/or suggest imagery in line with branding style guide
Superior organizational and project management skills
Thrives in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Creative problem-solving mindset
Ability to give and receive constructive criticism in a professional way
Strong work ethic paired with intellectual, creative curiosity, and a willingness to hear from and learn from others
Self-motivated, open minded with a sense of humor
Experience in SEO, Google Analytics, Marketo, WordPress, Canva, Ceros, and Adobe Tools is a plus
Experience working in or around the event industry is a plus.
