The Opportunity

Found is searching for a dynamic storyteller to elevate and improve messaging across the end-to-end member experience. We’re looking for someone who can flex from short, punchy UX copy to longer, research-backed editorial and everything in between. Whether you’re crafting emails for our members, writing an original thought leadership piece, or creating new content for our app, you’re always keeping the member journey in mind and leveraging your creativity to create the best possible experience.

This role works collaboratively with groups across Product, Marketing, Design, Clinical Ops, B2B, and many others. It reports into Found’s Head of Content.
What You’ll Do

Write, self-edit and oversee the delivery of short and long-form copy for a variety of projects, including but not limited to: email and SMS campaigns, UX, core program text, marketing collateral, SEO, and community content
Communicate timelines and project updates clearly to relevant stakeholders
Serve as a steward of the Found brand through every piece of content
Identify areas of opportunity for content improvements and work with Content leadership to prioritize roadmaps
Serve as a member of the creative team, lending your storytelling lens to various initiatives across Product and Marketing

What You Have

3-5 years experience writing about health or science for national consumer media
Great clips that show you can write about health or science clearly and in an organized, engaging, and personable way
Familiarity with AP Stylebook and inclusive language style guides
Comfort using tools like Google Docs, Slack, ClickUp, Notion, and Grammarly or Writer; it’s a plus if you have some basic knowledge of Figma
Able to handle multiple assignments at the same time and meet deadlines
A thorough understanding of how to find, use, and cite primary sources and an understanding of journalism ethics
Familiarity with the current science around weight loss and obesity and where to find credible information
An obsession for getting facts right and paying attention to details
Ability to think about how to use other media elements to enhance stories, such as infographics, audio, interactive media, video, etc.
Insatiable curiosity about health and wellness
Passion for doing good service journalism, and compassion for people on a lifelong weight journey
