Role Description

This is a remote internship role for a Staff Writer at Rivals.com. The Staff Writer will be responsible for writing articles, stories, and other content related to Miami Hurricanes Athletics. They will also be responsible for researching, interviewing, and publishing content on CanesCounty.com and social media channels.

Qualifications

Strong writing and storytelling skills
Passion for college sports, particularly football and basketball
Ability to produce clean, accurate, and well-organized copy on tight deadlines
Excellent research and interviewing skills
Experience with social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management systems such as WordPress
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field is preferred
Experience in sports journalism or college sports coverage is a plus
