Confluence Editor

New Posted 12 December 2023 | London, England, United Kingdom; Hybrid | Starling Bank

Hello, we're Starling. We built a new kind of bank because we knew technology had the power to help people save, spend and manage their money in a new and transformative way. We're a fully licensed UK bank with the culture and spirit of a fast-moving, disruptive tech company. We're a bank, but better: fairer, easier to use and designed to demystify money for everyone. We employ more than 2,500 people across our London, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester offices.

We're re-shaping Confluence to better support Starling users. This includes improving the structure of content across the business, to make everything easier to find and navigate, plus the creation of a new Wiki/hub page, and a purpose-built Knowledge System for frontline teams.

We'll be working to bring in new protocols to meet Consumer Duty requirements, along with a refreshed page style and innovation as we go.

This exciting new role will support all aspects of the project, beginning with collaboration with areas across the business to map out the content detail as it is now and help shape the desired future state, before specialising as a Confluence Editor for the Comms Team.

Responsibilities:

Support the discovery phase of the project, by assisting with the detailed audit and documentation of all current Confluence articles, content creators and consumers
Collaborate with users across the business and the Project Team, to define and implement a new content structure, permissions and document controls.
Assist with delivery of the new Confluence Wiki page, new article templates and protocols, and rollout of the new structure
Become Confluence super-user for the Internal Comms Team

Requirements

The exact project scope and requirements are still being defined, so the successful applicant will need to be flexible and adaptable, with a "can do" approach.

A keen eye for detail, excellent written English, and the ability to organise lots of granular information - while understanding the bigger picture
Strong interpersonal skills to enable stakeholder management and collaboration with users will also be important.
An interest in Content Design or User Experience would be advantageous
Strong organisational skills
Skilled Excel user
Attention to detail
Experience of managing content on Confluence would be an advantage but is not essential
