Social Media Editor

Stars and Stripes, which provides First Amendment-protected news and information to the U.S. military community, is seeking a social media editor to help us create new forms of digital journalism and oversee the day-to-day operations of our social strategy. The right candidate has a track record of growing readership using social media and is enthusiastic about engaging with our audience and coaching our global staff on social media best practices and new approaches. This editor will also be in the forefront of discussions about trending topics, newsletters and ensuring that stripes.com content appears prominently and frequently in search engines. The best-qualified candidates will have experience working in an audience- or social media-focused role, experience coaching staffers on social media best practices, and have experience with using analytics tools to inform content decisions on social channels.
