Position Overview:

We’re seeking someone who thrives on ownership and initiative—someone excited by the opportunity to help shape and grow a content strategy from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

Identify and develop creative, engaging, and original article ideas through thorough research and trend analysis
Dive deep into niche automotive topics, from classic car culture to cutting-edge industry innovations
Utilize SEO analytics, traffic data, and keyword reports to inform decision-making and optimize content ideas
Monitor performance metrics to refine content strategies and drive audience engagement
Pitch fresh, original article ideas inspired by pop culture, industry trends, news events, and independent, innovative brainstorming
Collaborate with the editorial and audience development teams to pinpoint successful patterns and emerging opportunities in the automotive space
Ensure all content ideas align with our editorial standards, brand voice, and overall style
Act as a creative resource to help craft compelling headlines and content concepts that resonate with automotive enthusiasts and a broader audience
Be proactive and responsive outside of traditional 9–5 hours when needed to capture breaking news and capitalize on time-sensitive automotive trends
Take initiative in developing new processes to improve content ideation and overall strategy

Note: Article writing is not part of this role. You will be brainstorming and developing article ideas for our editorial team to write.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

A deep knowledge of and genuine enthusiasm for automotive topics, including motorsports, car restoration, motorcycles, and the world of car culture
Familiarity with automotive-related online content, forums, social media, and community events
A strong instinct for what drives engagement in online content
Experience using analytics tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics) to guide content strategy
Strong creative skills and the ability to develop unique, captivating content ideas and headlines
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding editorial standards and brand voice
1+ years of experience in editorial, content strategy, or audience development roles at a website or digital media company (preferably automotive-related)
