The hiring company is seeking a Senior Copywriter to join their small but mighty Creative Team. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and storyteller who is data and performance obsessed. They are as adept at taking initiative as a campaign lead as they are taking direction as a collaborator and contributor.
The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for crafting powerful and persuasive on-brand messaging and helping to drive the hiring company’s mission and tone of voice across a diverse range of communications–from longer-form video storytelling to social post copy, email campaigns, and seasonal website copy.
The Senior Copywriter will report to the Executive Creative Director and will work closely with the Senior Creative Operations Manager. The Senior Copywriter is expected to present work to creative and non-creative stakeholders, efficiently address rounds of feedback and always take a solution-oriented approach to feedback.
Responsibilities
Develop and write inspiring 360 campaigns that are primarily focused on digital marketing.
Write concepts that translate across numerous media including social campaigns, narrative video content and digital marketing channels including email, paid social ads, landing pages, and website copy.
Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director, Content Writers, Designers and Content Producers to successfully plan campaigns from pre-production through post-production.
Present copy that is anchored in strategic thinking and adheres to stakeholder or channel owner requirements.
Manage contract writers and creative contributors.
Manage complex projects with multiple deliverables.
Shape the tone of voice for brand and create a practical guideline to deliver copy against it.
Organize copy variants in a way that is clear to stakeholders.
Write copy for UX best practices across digital experiences.
Write scripts and set copy direction for performance marketing videos and branded content.
Required Skills and Experiences
4+ years of experience copywriting.
Must understand that the copywriting needs to meet various business goals including direct sales, education, engagement, etc.
Exceptional creative thinker and writer.
Experience writing UX copy and SEO articles.
Ability to proofread and self-edit copy to produce error-free content that adheres to brand’s style guidelines.
Strong skillset in conceptualizing, brainstorming, writing, and collaborating to create strategically focused campaigns.
Receptive to constructive feedback about writing.
Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
The ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally, providing useful guidance through feedback while rallying enthusiasm and inspiration.
Experience collaborating with related marketing functions and has been part of a data informed creative process.
Experience in food required.

A genuine passion for food, culinary trends, and sustainable food systems.
Familiarity with Alaska or sustainable fishing.
Experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing is highly desirable. Understanding of e-commerce and subscription-based models is a plus.
Salary Range
The starting salary range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000, commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring company’s benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, 401k, PTO, safe/sick time, vacation, parental leave and more, as well as a delicious box of free fish every month.
