Assistant Teaching Professor - Journalism

The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Journalism to start in August 2024. The successful candidate will teach courses such as news writing, reporting and journalism business and ethics, and reporting to undergraduate journalism majors and others interested in the field. This is a three-year contract position, renewable upon successful review and instructional needs. Our students are sharp, questioning and engaged with the world around them. Our faculty retains close relationships with industry and works with students on substantive, project-based learning experiences that explore the most pressing issues of our time.
