Job Description

This person will be responsible for extending tax expertise across corporate public website to empower our customers by writing and reviewing tax related content.

The right candidate has strong tax expertise, actively keeps up with the latest tax law changes and trends and can translate complex tax code into simple language. This person is a self-starter with the ability to work under tight deadlines and a strong collaborator with a passion for helping taxpayers get their tax questions answered in an easy-to-understand format.

Day to day responsibilities include creating, writing, and editing tax content, reviewing infographics and video content for tax accuracy. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with an exceptional ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, and multi-dimensional team-oriented environment. You will work with a team of passionate world-class marketers who are focused on delivering an exceptional experience for customers and strong results for our business in a high-performing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Partner with the SEO team to create and write new tax accurate tax article content based off of content gaps, tax law changes, or trending tax topics on corporate website.
Major and minor rewrites and refreshes of existing tax article content to update for tax law changes, re-optimize for search engines, or improving the readability of the content.
Collaborate closely with Content Editor to follow an editorial calendar for new and refreshed content review schedule and ensure work is delivered on time.
Work closely with CPA and content editor to ensure new and refreshed content are accurate to tax law and follow company brand voice and tone.
Supporting review of other content types (articles, blurbs, videos, infographics, images, podcasts) for tax accuracy.

Required Experience/Skills
Current CPA credentials required.
Strong personal/business tax expertise and current on new tax laws and trends a must, and the ability to research and break down complex tax topics into easily understandable concepts.
Ability to translate complex topics into easy-to-understand written language for consumers.
Journalism or related degree or equivalent professional experience
Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, work well under tight deadlines, and high pressure.
Strong collaboration skills
Strong project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with different teams and deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and a drive to help teams deliver a great experience and results.
Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Haves
Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a plus
Experience with WordPress a plus
Bilingual a plus

Pay & Benefits Summary

Target hourly rate: $47.25 - $58.70/hr. W2
