Freelance Technology and Science Journalists

Tech Times, a rapidly growing startup publication, is on the lookout for freelance technology and science writers.

Position: Reporter, Technology – Tech Times

Your Role and Responsibilities:

We are looking for journalists to write 800-word stories with at least two interviews and quotes (the quotes can come via email interviews). We are seeking a fast turnaround on current events focusing on tech and science news, such as a unique spin on the Apple Vision Pro or a new health study. We are looking for news feature articles that take a current topic and turn it into a more in-depth features.

Our audience is a general readership who are interested in developments in science, health and technology (technology is our major focus).

What You’ll Bring:
At least 1-3 years of professional journalism experience.
A proven track record in writing/editing high-quality journalistic content.
Strong understanding and experience in social media and SEO best practices.
Ability to interpret and analyze technology trends and news effectively.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to develop and interview sources.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Salary: negotiable per story
