Intertek is searching for an Technical Report Writer to join our Building & Constructionteam in our York, PA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Building and Construction industry!
What you will do:
Prepare technical reports under minimal direction from senior staff
Generate technical reports from technician data
Prepare reports by entering information supplied by test technicians
Work with technicians on any questions or missing data
Keep all reports within required turn around times
Track turn around time and data sheet submissions
Maintain reports using existing web based software
Work with the Quality team to ensure all the records are in compliance with the quality system
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Administrative assistance when needed
Other duties as assigned
What it takes to be successful in this role:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years directly related experience
Expertise in the MS Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication and excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Must be self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Preferred Skills (Note: On the job training provided)
Construction terminology and background or work experience
Knowledge of fenestration industry is a plus
Strong knowledge of web-based networking software
Technical degree is a plus
