Responsibilities:
Write and/or edit technical documents, including business proposals, reports, user manuals, briefings and presentations, functional descriptions, systems specifications, guidelines, special reports, and other project deliverables to meet contract requirements.
Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and project managements ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations.
Research and gather technical and background information for inclusion in project documentation and deliverables.
Consult relevant information sources, including library resources, technical and financial documents, and client and project personnel, to obtain background information, and verify pertinent guidelines and regulations governing project deliverables.
Commensurate experience, education and level of supervision and direction.
Use journalistic writing style to draft, write, edit, proofread, and copyedit a variety of Agency messaging, including official and unofficial speeches, press releases, internal communications, special announcements, memos, executive letters, remarks/talking points, success stories, marketing collateral, responses to media inquiries, and news articles/blogs for publishing on MBDA digital assets and/or media outlets.
The writing process may include telephone, in-person, or video conferenced interviews with grant recipients, partners, and other external sources to develop “success stories” and profiles for use on Agency websites, newsletters, and/or media publications.
Drafting of remarks may include meeting with executive leadership for high level guidance, requesting information from subject matter experts, extensive research on topic area, and/or revising existing remarks to meet the needs of different audiences.
Primary editing duties include memos, major writing projects, template letters, research papers and other reports, and presentations.
Able to work independently with minimal direction and communicate effectively with senior/executive level management.
Extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines, while remaining responsive to requests for revisions and finalizing writing assignments for publication.
Contribute to social media content across multiple Agency channels, including occasional “how-to” content posted to digital platforms.
A successful candidate with possess extensive writing and correspondence experience at the executive secretariat level, while maintaining an analytical and creative approach towards content development.
Possess strong experience in MS Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 Years of Experience
