Role Overview:

As a Technical Writer at KX, you will collaborate closely with the Editor-in-Chief to create and maintain user-facing technical documentation. Your responsibilities will encompass content organisation, verifying completeness, proofreading, and upholding high writing standards. Your primary goal will be to enhance the user experience through the software documentation you contribute to.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically organize KX's technical documentation to optimize accessibility and clarity.

• Determine the most effective structure for presenting information, ensuring optimal reader comprehension.

• Collaborate closely with subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and thorough coverage of specialized topics.

• Conduct thorough reviews and copyediting of content produced by team members.

• Maintain awareness of competitors' documentation landscape to inform our approach.

• Efficiently manage timelines to align documentation delivery with software release schedules.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Documentation team to ensure consistency and alignment in documentation efforts.

• Continuously enhance documentation quality by incorporating user feedback and industry best practices.

• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements to accurately reflect product features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English or a Computer Science field; a graduate degree is a plus.

• Exceptional command of writing style, grammar, and punctuation.

• Avid reader with a favourite author, showcasing a passion for language and communication.

• Eager learner, especially in the realm of technology and its associated concepts.

• Proven experience in technical writing; familiarity with documenting data platforms is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work within a collaborative team environment.

Desired Skills:

· Experience with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD pipeline

· Markdown experience

· Ability to understand and edit JavaScript, HTML, XML and stylesheets
