About the role
Paydock is seeking a Technical Writerto join our remote global team. How you will make an impact
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand the product and its documentation requirements, ensuring comprehensive and accurate coverage for smooth customer adoption.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including API guides, tutorials, troubleshooting guides, and best practice recommendations for our payment platform.
Manage external API specifications and resources used by clients.
Develop comprehensive tutorials to empower end-users with the knowledge and skills to effectively use various applications.
Utilise Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence) for tracking, managing, and communicating work.
Analyze existing and potential content, seeking opportunities for reuse and implementing efficient single-sourcing strategies.
Establish and maintain an effective information architecture, ensuring accessibility and discoverability of vital information in the documentation.
Bring insight and expertise on evolving user needs over time, driving continuous improvement and providing best-in-class service.
Gain a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Paydock solution and its components.
How you will add value
At least 3-5 years of experience in a technical writing role, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of API definition standards - YAML, OAS etc.
A meticulous approach to delivering high-quality documentation, exhibiting a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work
The capacity to swiftly grasp intricate technical concepts and proficiently translate them into easily understandable text and visuals, simplifying complexity for diverse audiences
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
At Paydock we use Google Suite & Atlassian tools (Confluence JIRA etc) - so previous experience using these is highly desirable.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development processes, providing you with a contextual understanding of the subject matter
Previous experience working in an Agile Environment
Must be a self-starter and comfortable taking initiative, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
