Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Translate technical information to clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
Organize material and write descriptive copy according to established standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Develop, write, and edit functional descriptions, specifications, special reports, or other customer deliverables and documents.
Review content topics typically written by PMs and engineers. If the content is too unclear to understand or is inconsistent, the tech writer will correct or leave comments asking for clarification.
Works with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy of technical content.
Experience writing for a technical and non-technical audience.
Ability to learn additional systems as needed.
Correct for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
3 years' technical documentation experience.
US Citizens required to work on various projects.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships. ITIL principle knowledge and certification a plus.
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication s in reading, writing, speaking, the English language.
Experience conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.
Strong working knowledge or experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
Familiarity with publishing formats and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Meticulous attention to detail and effective professional correspondence.
Desired Skills
Ability to work independently to create, track, and report on plans to complete multiple documents on the project in a timely fashion.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Collaborates with IT Security and Infrastructure teams to gather information about security policies, procedures, and practices.
Creates technical documentation, including security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge of IT ATO processes such as NIST and FEDRAMP is a plus.
Ability to learn additional systems as needed.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
Experience writing for Oracle technical products is a plus.
Develop graphics, flowcharts, and illustrations for technical reports, SOPs, and other materials.
