Rinami is a software and services provider formed in 2009 to deliver solutions to asset intensive businesses. The business has grown to now deliver integration systems, custom mobile applications and expert consulting services to customers across the world. Rinami has extensive expertise in delivering integrated applications into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, across multiple asset intensive businesses including mining and resources, agribusiness, logistics, multi-mode manufacturing services and local government sectors.
As the Technical Writer, you will work closely with Managers, SMEs and Architects in producing technical software documentation for the latest versions of Rinami products. You will also ensure that internal resources are maintaining suitable documentation to ensure product quality and compliance.
The Technical Writer must also ensure that the delivered artefact is in line with Rinami’s documentation standards, so that the products are fully endorsed into service.
The role is based in Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast, QLD, with flexible working arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop high quality technical software documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse and write documentation relating to product features
Work with Product team or Operations team stakeholders to suitable internal documentation is generated to support product quality control.
Work with the Operations Manager to align documentation to existing corporate standards
Key Requirements:
At least 2 years technical writing experience working with complex technical software solutions
Produce high-quality documentation that meets business standards and appropriate for intended audience
Analyse and decompose requirements artefacts and other material into technical documentation
Working with internal staff to gain understanding of the Rinami products and the documentation requirements
Demonstrated problem solving ability with the understanding on how to translate the use of a product into a clear set of documentation and instructions
Broad experience of software development methodologies and the understanding of how to apply those methodologies into documentation.
Working knowledge of building documentation relating to back-end application frameworks
Good understanding of documenting web application development using HTTP REST, software standards, software development life cycle and methodologies.
Write System Requirement Specifications, Solution Architecture, developer guides and Functional Support material
Additional Requirements:
Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
Ability to analyse business processes and identify opportunities for documentation generation
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Excellent interviewing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience
Strong working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Microsoft Office,
Experience writing User manuals, Technical documentation, Security documentation and Architecture diagrams
$85,000 – $105,000 per year
