The Data Editor will lead the Data Desk, a “teaching hospital” of sorts for student journalists interested in data and investigative reporting. will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing government and commercially available data and contributing reporting and analysis. The key to building this talent pipeline will be building and maintaining partnerships with professional media organizations, especially in and around Philadelphia. The Data Editor, in collaboration with Journalism faculty, will help maintain this and other partnerships by building a pipeline of talented student journalists ready for the job market.
