Description: JOB SUMMARYThe Patient Education Content Reviewer/Clinical Editor will work independently under the guidance of the Clinical Team Director to review and propose needed updates to our patient education content in selected clinical areas. They will work from clinically reviewed documents, or will use medical journal and textbook articles that we provide. They may do a limited amount of their own research using approved sources and methods. They will edit content selectively and may draft new content to fill gaps. The focus will be to accurately interpret guidance provided by our Clinical Team and/or to recommend changes to ensure the content is accurate, relevant, and up to date.

Requirements: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses provided research and other materials to review assigned patient education and identify needed updates.
Conducts limited additional research, using provided evidence standards.
Delivers draft plain-language updates to patient education, using provided evidence standards and clinical and editorial
guidance.
Collaborates with clinicians and other team members as needed by phone, email, or chat.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Life Sciences.
Clinical degree (BSN, MSN, RD, DPT, etc) and/or work experience in clinical/patient care setting preferred.
2 years of professional work experience writing and/or editing patient education content.
Expertise with medical and clinical terminology.
Experience in hematology, oncology, genetics preferred.
Proficient in the application of plain language principles to patient education content.
Proficient at reading and interpreting clinical literature, including clinical practice guidelines.
Microsoft Office/Teams experience.
Content management and citation management systems experience strongly preferred. Candidates with experience using
Kontent.ai or other similar CMS applications are especially encouraged to apply.
Medical Writer Certification (MWC®) is preferred.

Position Pay Range: $45-50/hour depending on experience
