Sports Paginator

The Advocate/Times-Picayune - the largest news organization in Louisiana - is looking for a paginator for our award-winning Sports sections. We’re looking for someone who can help us juggle editions in our three print markets -- Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to work on multiple pages and editions a night without breaking a sweat as deadline looms. If you can make pages stand out and headlines sing, have an excellent grasp of AP style and are a team player, apply now! Remote work will be considered.

Requirements:

Experience with InDesign and Photoshop required; knowledge of Illustrator is a plus.

Preferred but not required:

Design experience at a daily newspaper.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred.
Considerable knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Considerable knowledge of newspaper page design and pagination.
Good knowledge of media production and written communication methods.
