The Associated Press is an independent global news organization dedicated to factual reporting. Founded in 1846, AP today remains the most trusted source of fast, accurate, unbiased news in all formats and the essential provider of the technology and services vital to the news business. More than half the world's population sees AP journalism every day. The Associated Press seeks a video journalist with a history of successful television and online video storytelling to join its dynamic and growing global climate team. This video journalist will be based in Illinois, Indiana or Iowa, covering how climate change is impacting agriculture and the food we eat. This is a two-year grant-funded position with an opportunity to extend. We’re looking for a visual storyteller: someone who can inform people on the various ways that changing rainfall patterns, drought and flooding are affecting agricultural productivity and food security. You will help people understand and relate to the dramatic transformations that are occurring on issues ranging from regenerative and climate-smart agriculture to nature-based solutions and the implementation of the Farm Bill.
