The Associated Press seeks a video journalist with a history of successful television and online video storytelling to join its team in Missouri, covering some of the biggest stories in the state. This video journalist will shoot, write, edit and produce video — including LIVE video — stories for AP’s broadcast, digital and mobile customers and platforms. In this role, you will conduct interviews, write scripts and edit footage in different styles – from raw cuts to fully produced pieces – to deliver engaging visual journalism. You may occasionally work as a desk producer to cut edits from live video, affiliate contributions and video filed by other AP videojournalists. As a member of a dynamic, round-the-clock operation, you will also be expected to pitch, develop and research stories and contribute reporting in other media formats. That includes reporting and writing text stories and shooting photos to help produce a competitive and comprehensive all-formats news report. You should be able to travel extensively to cover breaking news, often at short notice.
