The Baltimore Banner is a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to providing high-quality local journalism to the Baltimore metro area. We hope to reimagine the future of local news by building a vibrant, strong, trustworthy, and sustainable news organization. With a multi-platform news operation, we cover a wide range of topics, including local government, culture, and the arts. Our goal is to tell stories that reflect the community, foster connections among neighbors, hold government institutions accountable, and provide a comprehensive understanding of the world. About the Job:

We are looking for an editor that will help oversee and improve The Baltimore Banner’s existing newsletter portfolio, grow our audience and help develop and launch new products. This is a hybrid position located in the Inner Harbor office. You will directly supervise one employee and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
