Health Reporter

The Baltimore Sun is seeking a reporter to cover the health care, medicine, public health and the business of health in the Baltimore region and Maryland. Baltimore is home to premier medical research institutions such as Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland and has a vibrant biotech and pharmaceutical business ecosystem. It’s also home to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and near the National Institutes of Health. This reporter will keep our readers apprised of the happenings at local hospitals, the state of health insurance and public health issues such as the coronavirus pandemic, influenza and mental health. Coverage of labor issues and the business health of our medical institutions is also important.
