General Assignment Writer

The Blade in Toledo is looking for a general assignment reporter to join our award-winning newsroom. We're seeking a writer who has his or her own ideas and the ability to jump in on a variety of assignments. Key areas of focus will include breaking news, police work, and also some health reporting. The writer should be able to handle both daily and long-term stories, as well as suggesting ideas to editors. The reporter must be willing to work as a team with others in order to execute larger pieces.
