The Butler Eagle is seeking an experienced editor to lead and manage the reporting team at this family owned, morning paper in Western Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate for the job is an enthusiastic person who loves hands-on, community journalism. They need at least three years of editorial management experience, the judgment and temperament to supervise and motivate reporters, the ability to edit quickly while maintaining high standards, and plan compelling news coverage that engages the readers. This position also includes writing several editorials a week and working with a digital editor to maximize print and social media offerings. This is a full-time office job that reports directly to the managing editor.
