The Cipher Brief is seeking a Washington-D.C.–based reporter to play an important role in our growing coverage of national security, cyber, and intelligence-related news.

We are looking for experienced journalists with a proven track record of covering Washington D.C., with an emphasis on source-development, research, ability to meet deadlines, capacity to deliver attention-grabbing headlines, and an overall sense of what makes for compelling story-telling. Must demonstrate a prior record of reporting that is balanced, accurate and timely.
