In February 2020, Ahmaud Arbery was murdered when he was jogging in Glynn County, Georgia. For months, his family nor his community knew what had happened—a lack of accountability that illustrates the critical news vacuums in Coastal Georgia. The Current is filling that gap with an accountability reporter to cover the majority minority town of Brunswick and the diverse rural surrounding county.
Salary and Benefits:
$50,000-$60,000
