Food and Dining Reporter

The Daily Memphian, a daily digital publication in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking an established food and dining reporter to join our team.

Candidates must have a strong background in journalism, but a knowledge of the dining industry — and a good palate — is a plus. Candidates should also be skilled at generating story ideas; writing cleanly, quickly and authoritatively; developing sources and maintaining those relationships; breaking news and working quickly with minimum supervision.

This position includes both daily written coverage as well as responsibilities for podcasting and hosting food and dining events. A collaborative attitude and a familiarity with social media are also important.

Applicants should have at least five years of newsroom experience and be willing to relocate to Memphis if they don’t already live in the area. Reliable transportation is necessary.
