The Dallas Morning News is looking for an Interactive News Developer to join its newsroom as a member of its award-winning data, investigative and design teams. This role is one of the most collaborative positions in the newsroom. You'll partner with reporters, editors, photographers, videographers and audience engagement editors to help develop visualizations, tooling and workflows for ambitious in-depth investigative stories and quick turn dailies. You'll also have the opportunity to pitch, report and develop your own project ideas. The News' data team is composed of data journalists but at our core, we are all storytellers. We have a wide range of skills, including data analysis and visualization. We work on a diverse set of topics, including elections and state government, health, education and the criminal justice system.
