The Role
As Staff Reporter, you will be at the forefront of the DeFi and Web3 revolution, breaking news, covering the latest developments and trends, and crafting thought-provoking features. You'll be at the heart of our editorial team, creating engaging content that breaks down complex concepts and empowers our readers to make informed decisions. Editing experience is a plus as you may be asked to occasionally pitch in with article edits.
What you'll do:
Write articles about the latest news, analysis, and developments in the DeFi and Web3 sectors
Craft supporting social media posts for your articles
Stay updated with current events, trends, and innovations in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, NFTs, DAOs, and other relevant areas
Cultivate sources and conduct interviews with industry leaders, innovators, and influencers
Collaborate with our team to develop fresh and engaging story ideas
Ensure all articles are accurate, well-researched and adhere to our high editorial standards
Engage with our readers and community through various platforms
Help with editing duties
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in journalism or content creation, with a focus on blockchain, cryptocurrency, or DeFi
Deep understanding of DeFi, Web3, and blockchain technology
Excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to make complex subjects engaging and accessible
A strong portfolio of published articles
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong research and analytical skills
Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred
