Hockey Writer

The Denver Post is looking for an experienced reporter to cover the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche. Qualified candidates must have a demonstrated ability to dig for stories, break news, produce enterprise and provide digital-specific coverage that draws readers. The Ideal candidate can write stories sophisticated enough for the most ardent hockey fans and also produce in-depth enterprise stories that engage readers of all interests. The reporter must be a great teammate, easy to work alongside and able to adapt when necessary. A background covering hockey is required, preferably at the professional level. Successful candidates must have a strong grounding in journalism and sports coverage and be able to pitch in on other beats during the offseason.
