Senior Political Producer

We are seeking a Sr. Political Producer to join the team at Scripps News, the national news network of the E.W. Scripps Company. This position is in Atlanta, GA.

What You'll Do:

Oversee all scheduling of segments with producers;
Manage show boards;
Work with Co-Exec Producer to stack and plan daily shows;
Communicate creative and timing needs to producers;
Oversee the scheduling of all shoots, editing and airing of pieces;
Support the Co-Exec Producer in oversight of all studio/stand-up elements as they relate to each segment;
Oversee and produce elements of sweeps programming and weekend episodes;
Work with other Senior Producers to manage content flow and build each weekend show
Pitch and produce top of the show elements for daily broadcast;-managing the in-studio aspects of the show as it relates to talent stand-ups and segments;
Oversee all morning voice-over and talent needs;
Fact-checking and oversight of final product before the feed;
Work with the other Senior Producers to manage content flow;

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor degree preferred
8+ years experience with a national news

Strong communication skills
Demonstrated interest and understanding of campaign politics and issues
