As a Reporter for the NTD team, entrusted with covering events in the Washington, DC area, including Capitol Hill, The White House, and numerous government agencies, your foremost duty is to provide our audience with impartial and captivating news coverage. You will thrive in a dynamic work environment, where your responsibilities span a broad spectrum of subjects, encompassing breaking news and comprehensive investigative journalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Research, investigate, and pitch compelling news stories to cover on television.
Develop and maintain contacts with sources and experts in various fields.
Conduct on-camera interviews with newsmakers and sources.
Write, edit, and deliver news reports for television broadcasts.
Work with the news production team to create visually appealing and informative news segments.
Work efficiently to meet stringent newsroom deadlines, particularly during breaking news situations.
Adhere to rigorous journalistic ethics and guidelines.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of prior experience as a television news reporter.
Exceptionally on-camera presence and communication skills.
Proficiency in impactful writing and storytelling skills.
Strong news judgment and the ability to identify relevant and timely news stories.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, as dictated by breaking news demands.

Pay range: The annual base pay range for this role is between $45,000 and $70,000. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range according to the selected candidate's experience, location, technical skills, and other factors.
