We’re looking to add new voices to The Everygirl’s Relationships section! Are you constantly seeking ways you can better your romantic and platonic relationships? Are you navigating the complexities of the dating world right now and want to share your tips, frustrations, and successes? We’re looking for relatable, diverse, and passionate writers who love talking about anything and everything relationship-related.

You’ll pitch and write new and engaging content for The Everygirl site, working directly with our editors. If you’ve ever read our site and wished you could tell people about all the ways you’ve avoided awkward dates in the past, how you nurture your friendships even when you’re busy AF, or why you’re devastated that your favorite celebrity couple broke up, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for writers to contribute to the following categories:

Friendships
Dating
Relationships

Qualifications

A strong understanding of The Everygirl’s brand and coverage
A strong comprehension of AP Style and grammar and ability to follow The Everygirl Media Group Style Guide
Experience writing about friendships, relationships, or dating
Experience sourcing and researching friendships, relationships, or dating topics
Be available to pitch and write 2+ articles a month
Be comfortable with Google Docs

Compensation

All articles are paid. Rates will be outlined and agreed upon when pitches are approved.

Submissions

Submit a copy of your cover letter pasted in the body of the email to submissions@theeverygirl.com. The subject of the email should be “Relationships Writer – your name.” The cover letter should include a little bit about yourself and the specific areas of interest and expertise you bring to the table.

Within your application, include the following in the body of the email with links. These can be links to your portfolio website, dropbox folder, or google drive folder. If using dropbox or google drive, please make sure the link is not private. Attachments will not be reviewed or considered.

1-3 links to writing samples
2 pitches for potential articles; a pitch includes a headline and 1-3 sentences detailing what the article will be about
A note on pitches: We love date ideas and red flag roundups, but we’re looking for unique takes or trending ideas. Pitches that hit this mark will receive extra attention. Need some examples? Here are the kinds of stories we’re looking to add more of:
