The Guardian is looking for a Weekend Editor to join its New York news desk. The New York desk covers US news for a global audience, focusing on the Guardian’s editorial priorities of power and equity in America. The team aims to expertly cover urgent news while producing impactful features, enterprise coverage and investigate reporting. The weekend editor holds a key role in the team, working approximately three weekends in six, to oversee US news; liaising with colleagues in London, Australia and California to edit news stories and features; contributing to long term planning; helping to manage our team of NY writers and reporters.
