Features Editor

The Herald-Palladium in St. Joseph, Mich., is looking for a full-time features editor and social media manager. The ideal candidate will have great writing and editing skills, excellent organzational skills and experience in page layout in InDesign. An applicant must have a bachelor's degrees in journalism or related fields and 3-5 years exprience. In addition to writing and editing for the features pages, the features editor will assist the local news desk, oversee the obituary assistant, monitor the paper's website, manage its social media accounts and paginate some pages. St. Joseph is on the Lake Michigan shore in the southwestern corner of the state. There's no shortage of weekend events, art galleries, shops, great restaurants, breweries and wineries, plus beautiful hiking trails and sandy beaches at our many nearby parks – all the things that make this a bustling tourist destination. As a bonus, Chicago is just 90-minutes away by train or car.  The features editor works mostly in the office, though some remote work is allowed.
