Reporter

The Journal Times is a place to learn and grow, but more importantly to make an impact on a community that benefits from local news. We’re looking for a newspaper reporter/photographer who writes clearly, can develop relationships with sources and has an ability to take initiative. Responsibilities will include writing, taking photos for the paper, posting content online and on social media. The Journal Times is a daily newspaper in southeast Wisconsin with numerous statewide awards. We are based in Racine but are part of a nationwide network; your work will be read by thousands across the Midwest. New journalists are welcome to apply. Writing samples and photos from college papers are welcome. We can offer training for a skilled candidate. The position requires some night and weekend hours. The ideal candidate would be able to cover a variety of stories from news to features to sports.
