The Lakeland Times in Minocqua, Wisconsin, seeks a seasoned editor to oversee all aspects of the newsroom. The candidate we seek understands the importance and nuances of community journalism, can work well with a variety of individuals, can pull together the resources available from within two separate newsrooms and coordinate the content produced by two newspapers. This overarching position requires an editor who can handle the fast pace. We seek candidates who are organized, have the foresight to plan ahead, coordinate reporter beats and pull it all together on deadline. Candidates will have experience coordinating news departments, either weeklies, semi-weeklies or dailies.
