Los Angeles City Hall Reporter

New Posted 13 October 2022 | Chatsworth, California | The Los Angeles Daily News

The Los Angeles Daily News is seeking a focused, enthusiastic, nimble reporter to cover government news in the city of Los Angeles for our web and print editions. The successful candidate should be able to navigate daily headlines in perhaps the nation's most fascinating and news-steeped city, as well as deliver hard-hitting, unique enterprise/investigative reporting. We are looking for someone who can keep pace with the myriad developments in town, but also find stories that no one else is writing, stories that resonate with readers via tight, compelling writing, deep reporting and digital savvy. The ideal candidate should be aggressive and resourceful while embracing the role of watchdog, keeping a close eye on public officials, City Hall developments and what's going on behind the scenes. The reporter will also take a special interest in the city's diverse, burgeoning San Fernando Valley -- and being based in or near the area would be a boon. The reporter will be working with a veteran editor with deep roots in the LA area, eager to partner with the reporter to hit journalistic home runs.
