Web Editor

The Maine Wire, a digital news project of the Maine Policy Institute, is seeking a talented and ambitious web editor to assist our Digital Media Editor with graphic design, web editing, video editing, and social media management.

The Maine Wire is a digital news outlet that covers Maine and New England politics and conducts original investigative reporting. Our Web Editor would be responsible for managing the website (TheMaineWire.com), designing graphics for stories and social media, editing both short- and long-form video projects, managing social media properties, and assisting the Digital Media Editor on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate will be highly proficient with the Adobe Suite of multimedia editing products and comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced setting. Candidates should also have a command of the English language, an understanding of the rules of English grammar, and an above average familiarity with American politics and current events.
