We're looking for a Senior Content Editor to help us grow audience across all of our digital platforms as well as print and mobile. The Senior Content Editor is responsible for supervising and developing reporters in the following areas of focus: Growth and Development, Education, Health Care, Urban Affairs and Criminal Justice. The Senior Content Editor is responsible for assigning, editing and enhancing audience-focused content, from breaking news to enterprise and investigative stories to newsletters. This includes working directly with reporters, visual journalists and database journalists on content development and execution, editing text and writing compelling headlines. We work remotely, but communicate multiple times daily with direct reports via Slack messages, phone calls, and meetings. Relocation may not be necessary but gaining knowledge of the Lehigh Valley and understanding our audience would be required of a successful candidate.
